Paper cattle burnt in folk festival for happiness (1/3)

A paper cattle, 10 meters high and nine meters long, is set on fire during a ceremony to pray for happiness and peace at a village in Weifang city, East China’s Shandong province, March 4, 2015. The ceremony started about 200 years ago to in memory of Sun Bin, a military strategist who lived during the Warring States period of Chinese history, and now it becomes a tradition inscribed on Weifang’s intangible cultural heritage list.
