South Wutai Mountain, also called Taiyi Mountain in ancient time, is one of the most famous holy places of Chinese Buddhism.

As a major scenic spot in Chang’an District of Xi’an city, South Wutai Mountain has long been a famous summer resort.

There are nearly 1,000 species of plants in the mountains, including "special living fossil" plants, buckeyes, Wangchun Flowers and many other precious species. Therefore, the scenic spot is also called a broad botanical garden and live roots museum.
