A man shows lead pellets scattered on ground of a residential community in Zhengzhou, Henan province on October 28, 2014. Local residents complained that tens of thousands of pellets flying from a nearby shooting rang everyday have disrupted their daily lives. A resident surnamed Lin said the community’s property management community once reflected the situation to the shooting range, and tried to negotiate a solution to the problem, but finally failed. Built in 1958, the shooting range is a training base for athletes. Guo Jisheng, an official of the firing range explained that all of the nearby residential buildings had been set up in the recent six years. “Developers should take the shooting range’s location into consideration before they constructed the residential buildings,” Guo added.
