9-year-old girl hitches around China(1/4)

Liu Zimo, a nine-year-old girl from Handan, Hebei province stands on a road, trying to thumb a ride to Zhengzhou, Central China’s Henan province. Accompanied by her father, the young backpacker arranged travel schedules all by herself. The girl’s father said he let the child dictate the journey, and he himself only served as a “bodyguard” for her. The father and daughter left home in Handan on July 5, 2014, and ended the journey on July 29. The two’s 4,000-kilometer journey covered seven provinces and municipalities around China including Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Chongqing, and Shanxi. [Photo/ yzdsb.com.cn]
