Fourteen swimmers, including mainland's famous long-distance swimmer Zhang Jian, arrive at Pingtan of Fujian province after swimming across the Taiwan Strait at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, 2014. Relay team members, with 7 from the Chinese mainland and 7 from Taiwan, left Hsinchu city of Taiwan around noon on Aug. 18. It's the first ever attempt to cross the Taiwan Strait.
