World's largest golden Mazu statue unveiled in Fujian (1/5)

The largest golden Mazu statue in the world is unveiled at Mazu Temple of Meizhou in Putian of Fujian province on April 11, 2014. More than 3,000 people attended the unveiling ceremony of the golden statue, with the height of 3.23 meters and weight of 323 kg. Skilled workers from the mainland and Taiwan spent 278 days completing the statue, valued over 100 million yuan. [Photo/Li Nanxuan]
