Chinese and EU naval escort ships hold joint anti-piracy drill

The photo taken on July 14 shows ships of the Chinese and EU naval escort task forces are sailing ahead in formation during a joint drill. The 17th Chinese naval escort taskforce and the EU Combined Task Force 465 (CTF-465) staged a joint anti-piracy drill code-named "Venus 2" in the west sea area of Gulf of Aden from 6:30 to 15:00, July 14, 2014. Real Admiral Huang Xinjian, commanding officer of the Chinese naval escort taskforce and Real Admiral Jürgen zur Mühlen, commander of the EU CTF-465, directed the joint drill alternatively.
