China launched a new meteorological satellite from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in North China's Shanxi province, at 11:07 am, Sept 23, 2013. The Long March-4C carrier rocket carried the satellite, the third of China's Fengyun-3 (FY-3) series, into space.
