Born in Iran and having immigrated to Canada in 2018, Meng Na now teaches Chinese at Toronto Metropolitan University.

Her connection with China began in 2000, when she arrived in Beijing to pursue a degree in modern Chinese literature at Peking University.

After living in China for more than a decade and traveling to many cities, she developed a deep affection for Chinese culture. Meng Na says China feels like her "second home," and she hopes more people can appreciate Chinese culture the way she does.

Her work spans teaching and translation. Through translating Chinese literary works, she hopes to introduce international readers to the real lives, values, and ways of thinking of people in China.
