China's gold market soars as gold price breaks record

The gold stores in Shanghai's Yu Garden commercial arcade experienced a surge in popularity on Sunday, with many customers lining up to purchase gold jewelry.　

Following the Spring Festival holiday, the price of gold reached another record high. On Sunday, the retail price at the gold store was displayed as 867 yuan (approximately $118.70) per gram for pure gold.
