2024 Summit of Forum on China-Africa Cooperation to be held in Beijing

The 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) will be held in Beijing from Sept. 4 to 6.　

On Monday, CNS reporters noticed that national flags of different African countries fluttered on lampposts on the Tiananmen Square in Beijing to welcome foreign guests. The 2024 FOCAC Summit　banners were also seen on Beijing's major roads, creating a fantastic and joyful ambience.　

The theme of the summit is "Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future."　From September 4 to 6, a series of activities will be held including the opening ceremony, welcome banquet, artistic performances, parallel high-level meetings, the China-Africa entrepreneurs' conference and bilateral meetings. This is the second time that the family of China and Africa will gather in Beijing following the 2018 FOCAC Summit.
