Wang Qingxiu, a folk paper-cut artist and an intangible cultural heritage successor in Liangcheng County, Ulanqab City, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, has combined traditional Chinese culture with winter sports as China's 14th National Winter Games approaches.

The paper-cut features Anda and Sainu, the mascots of the 14th National Winter Games wearing traditional clothing of the ethnic Mongolian group. The combination of their names translates as a greeting to the world. Sainu means "hello" in Mongolian, while Anda means "friends".

The event, scheduled to take place from February 17 to 27 in Inner Mongolia, aims to promote winter sports and encourage participation from athletes nationwide.

China's paper cutting, an important representative of Chinese intangible cultural heritage, has been listed in the world intangible cultural heritage protection list.
