A Fuxing Intelligent Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) train, which departed from Wuhan, arrived at Xining Railway Station in northwest China's Qinghai Province on Wednesday, marking the first direct train of its kind running from central China to the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau.
It also marks the first time that the Fuxing Intelligent EMU train has run on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau.
The train, with an operating mileage of 1,806 kilometers, traversed five provinces including Hubei, Henan, Shaanxi, Gansu and Qinghai, and stopped at 14 stations.
