Floating ice appears in sections of Yellow River

Affected by the cold weather, spectacular "floating ice" appeared in the Shanxi section, Hukou Waterfall, and Ningxia section of the Yellow River in north and northwest China in recent days. 　

"Floating ice" refers to the phenomenon where, before a river freezes, chunks of ice drift along with the flowing water.
