China's largest deep-sea semi-submersible farming platform, Ningde 1, set sail on Tuesday for designated waters in Xiapu, east China's Fujian Province.
The farming platform was towed by Haixun 0809 patrol ship and two tugs to the waters of Xiapu in Fujian Province.
With a total length of 120 meters, a width of 56 meters, and a height of 12.5 meters, Ningde 1 can accommodate 65,000 cubic meters of water.
The fully framed platform can produce large yellow croaker worth more than $13.85 million annually.
