Longqing Gorge Ice Lantern Festival kicks off in Beijing

The 2023 Longqing Gorge Ice Lantern Festival kicked off at the Longqing Gorge scenic spot, Beijing's Yanqing District on Tuesday night.

With an exhibition area of 200,000 square meters, the festival displayed ice and snow sculptures divided into three major areas.

The festival, highlighting scientific and technological elements, was expected to see a boom in ice and snow tourism.

Known as the "Little Three Gorges of the Yangtze River" or "Little Li River", Longqing Gorge is the venue for the annual Beijing Longqing Gorge Ice Lantern Festival.
