The largest and heaviest cylinder-shaped floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) built in China set sail from Qingdao, Shandong Province on Tuesday, and will take about 55 days to reach the North Sea in Europe, with a total voyage of over 17,000 nautical miles.

It is reported that the cylinder-shaped FPSO launched this time, named "Penguins", was built by Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. for Royal Dutch Shell. The device is 118-meter-tall as a 42-story residential building and about 32,000 metric tons in total weight. As the largest and heaviest cylinder-shaped FPSO built in China and also the cylinder-shaped "offshore oil and gas processing plant" delivered abroad by China, it features the highest automation control, the most complete intelligent data, and the most advanced design concept.
