Video captured water freezing instantly as it was thrown into the air at -42.7℃ in Hulunbuir, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Wednesday.

Extreme cold weather hit Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia. With the lowest temperature approaching minus 42.7 degrees celsius, visitors played the game of "pouring water into ice" here.

Ice and frost were seen on the masks, hats and eyebrows of people outdoors.
