Snow scenery of Bagua-shaped county in NW China's Xinjiang

A snowfall hit Tekes County, northwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, which turned the county into a winter wonderland.

The Bagua-shaped county, Tekes River, snow-capped mountain and the clouds composed a beautiful "Chinese ink wash painting."

Tekes County is known for its unique road layout. The ancient county was built based on the Eight Diagrams, standing for the eight trigrams in Taoist cosmology.

Tekes County was listed as a national historical and cultural city in 2007.
