Clusters of ice were spotted drifting in the waters of Heihe gorge in Qilian County, northwest China's Qinghai Province. The Heihe River is the second largest inland river in China and the Heihe Grand Canyon in this scenic spot is the third largest canyon in the world.
Drifting ice, also called brash ice, is carried along by winds and sea currents, and cannot be attached to the shoreline, shoals, or other fixed objects.
