Camera-empowered robot to serve utility tunnel inspection in Tianjin

(ECNS) -- Scenes of robots running urban management have turned into reality, with an inspection-utilized, camera-empowered robot going through the final required test in north China's Tianjin City.

The 360-degree panoramic camera will empower the robot to monitor temperatures and abnormality inside urban utility tunnels and transmit real-time monitoring data back to the management center.

The robot program is scheduled to enter service this June, allowing the city to have its first intelligent management system of its urban utility tunnels.
