(ECNS) -- Lying beside Huanghuacheng Reservoir in Beijing, this beast is called Jiliang.

It is one of the over 60 based on the ancient Chinese book Classic of Mountains and Seas, or Shan Hai Jing, and replicated by Chinese modern artist Qiu Qijing.

People who rode Jiliang could get another 1,000 years of life, according to Classic of Mountains and Seas.

The stories in the book, written in the pre-Qin Period (before 221BC), occur on geography, history, mythology, astronomy, animals, etc.

This book, together with I Ching, or Book of Changes, and The Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic, are called the three great ancient books in Chinese history. Qiu hopes to replicate all 469 beasts in the book and put them on display one day.
