(ECNS) -- Beach Park in Fuzhou has made QR code ID cards for more than 30 kinds of plants so that tourists can scan them to get information.
These special ID cards are tied on plants with hemp rope at a height of about one person.
Hemp rope is ductile and won't do harm to plants, said a staff member at the park.
The plant recognition system is one of the projects of establishing a "Smart Garden" in Fuzhou.
Experts were invited to collect information about these plants with related scanning technologies, in order to popularize them among people.
The QR code recognition system can help people learn about plants so as to protect them, according to the local landscape department.
