Injured rare stork rescued by Inner Mongolia police

(ECNS) -- An injured black stork was found and treated by border police officers in Inner Mongolia.

It recovered quickly thanks to their proper feeding and bathing.

The police later transferred it safely to a black stork reserve in Lingqiu County, Shanxi Province.

The black stork is listed as a first-class wildlife species under special state protection in China, making it as precious as the giant panda.
