(ECNS) -- Seven tombs dating back to the Eastern Jin dynasty (317–420) have been unearthed in Yunhe County, according to the provincial cultural relics and archaeology institute.

In mid-June, staff found a section of blue bricks arranged neatly in the shape of a "U" and preliminarily identified it as the remains of an ancient tomb.

Archaeologists confirmed the date of the tombs based on the shape of the tombs, characteristics of unearthed objects and inscription on the bricks.

Thirty-two exquisite artifacts, including bronze mirrors, a bronze seal, celadon pot, iron knives and silver ornaments, were also unearthed from the site.
