(ECNS) -- The lander-ascender combination of the Chang'e 5 lunar probe separated from its orbiter-returner combination at 4:40 a.m. Monday (Beijing Time).
The orbiter-reentry module combination will continue to orbit the moon at an average altitude of about 200 kilometers.
The lander-ascender combination will execute a soft landing on the moon and carry out automatic sampling.
