(ECNS)--Apple CEO Tim Cook announced Sunday that the company would donate 25 million yuan ($3.96 million) to the China Development Research Foundation, as part of its efforts to help students in the nation's less-developed areas at the 2018 China Development Forum in Beijing.
The money will be used to support the foundation's digitalization program and "help more than 300,000 students from kindergarten to middle school in less-developed areas to find a way out of poverty," Cook said.
