In response to Shinzo Abe's visit to Pearl Harbor, China has urged Japan to reflect and make a clean break with its history of invasion.

"A visit to Pearl Harbor cannot settle historical accounts. Don't forget that China was the main eastern battlefield in the global anti-Fascist war and the Chinese people made a massive sacrifice to achieve victory. Japan will never turn over this page until it reconciles with China and the other Asian countries it invaded," said Hua Chunying, spokesperson of Chinese Foreign Ministry.
