Chinese Premier Li meets Canadian PM Trudeau

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Beijing. The two leaders called for further development of bilateral relations.

Li said political, economic and cultural cooperation had deepened since diplomatic ties were established 46 years ago. He said China is now Canada's second largest trade partner and there is great potential to expand the relationship further.

Trudeau said Canada will strengthen its relationship with China in a more comprehensive way, to enhance peace and prosperity of the two countries and the world.
