The People's Liberation Army turned 89 on Monday,August 1.Most troops began their festivity with routine exercises from the plateau of the Tibetan Autonomous Region in the west to the coastal areas of the east. Military units held drills in different parts of the country, showcasing the latest military hardware and weaponry. There are also other events held across the country to mark the day.
