The annual session of the CPPCC will officially begin in Beijing tomorrow. In advance, hundreds of proposals have been submitted to a subcommittee of CPPCC for evaluation and review. [Special Coverage]
The subcommittee for handling proposals of the CPPCC collects and categorizes all proposals raised by China's political advisers, to ensure a smoother decision making process. Once approved by the CPPCC, they will be sent to ministries and commissions for implementation.
So far, more than 500 proposals have been submitted, and that number is still rising. Among the proposals, more than 450 are from democratic parties and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, with the rest from members of the CPPCC.
This year, proposals need to have concrete details on how ideas would be implemented. As a result, the number of proposals is expected to be around the same level as last year, or even slightly lower.
