A cold wave has hit China. Many cities across the country have experienced their lowest temperatures so far this winter.
Parts of the country braced for record low temperatures after a cold wave left many cities shivering at below minus 10 degrees celsius.
Temperatures in Hebei province plunged to minus 19 degrees on Monday, the coldest day this winter. And in many cities in northeast China, such as Shenyang, Jilin and Harbin, temperatures have plummeted to as low as minus 20 degrees
