CEE leaders try high-speed rail

Leaders from 16 Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries joined Premier Li on a 25-minute ride from Suzhou to Shanghai on a high-speed train. [Special coverage]

China signed deals with Hungary and Serbia Tuesday agreeing to construct a railway between the two European capitals. The construction will start this year and be completed within two years.

Premier Li and the European leaders are also scheduled to have a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing Thursday.
