A total of 29,096 people have been evacuated from the surrounding area of a chemical plant in south China's Fujian Province on Wednesday.
The plant blasted at around 6:56 p.m. Monday.
This is the second accident in 20 months at the same facility that produces paraxylene (PX), an industrial chemical used for making fiber and plastics.
The fire reignited on Tuesday around 7:40 p.m.
