The St. Regis Zhuhai will hold an opening ceremony on October 18. The hotel is located at Wanzai Waterfront in Zhuhai, which is known as an economic and tourism town in south China's Guangdong Province. Located on floors 41-72 on top of the Zhuhai Tower, a landmark building in Zhuhai, it overlooks the broad sea scenery of the Greater Bay Area and the prosperous urban landscape of Zhuhai and Macao. As the tenth hotel that St. Regis has opened in China, the St. Regis Zhuhai will continue with the classic legend of "capital of romance," inheriting the elegant and exquisite lifestyle and create the customized luxurious experience for the distinguished personages with excellent taste.
Zhuhai is located on the west bank of the Pearl River Delta. It is a beautiful place known as " the city of one hundred islands" and the only way to arrive in Macao is by a land route. Standing at the beautiful Wanzai Waterfront, the St. Regis Zhuhai is separated with Macao by the river. With the in-depth development of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the planning of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Zhuhai, as one of the core cities of the project, will usher in another economic take-off. The developed traffic network reaching all directions makes its contact with the neighboring cities such as Hong Kong, Macao, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. After the St. Regis Zhuhai opening, it will create the best place of the Greater Bay Area along with the St. Regis Shenzhen, the St. Regis Macao, and the St. Regis Hong Kong that is to be opened in 2019.
The St. Regis Zhuhai will start from rebuilding classic and aims at inheriting and revitalizing the class elements of the brand in a modern way: the traditional rituals of the St. Regis are the Bloody Mary, St. Regis afternoon tea and night ceremony. The Bloody Mary adopts raw Yunv oyster sauce with local characteristics in Zhuhai and the official plum wine to show the exclusive taste of the legendary Bloody Mary cocktail. The St. Regis afternoon tea inherits the social way of first-class society which was established by Mrs. Caroline, the mother of the St.Regis pioneer Mr. Astor in the Gilded Age. It also embodies the elegance and loftiness of the traditional British afternoon tea. The night ceremony, based on the brand's tradition, was also established by Mrs. Caroline. The joyful atmosphere of the ceremony begins at 6 pm. In the hall of the courtyard located on the 41st floor, The Lady of the Camellias from the famous composer Giuseppe Verdi can be heard. In the climax of the song, the steward that wears a knight's cloak opens the champagne with a saber and toasts with the guests, thus expecting the arrival of a beautiful night.
Wilson Associates designed the hotel as a classic and modern European mansion. It adopts a large number of representative diamond patterns and diamond elements of the St. Regis. The hotel boasts 251 luxurious guest rooms in elegant style, including 34 oversized suites and one presidential suite with an area of more than 1,100 square meters. The room is equipped with classic beds made by the St. Regis and Frette bedding. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub of hydrotherapy ranking. The living room is embedded with unique retro European furniture. And the charming coastal resort and new entertainment equipment add more comfort to the check-in experience.
Guests will start a catered trip under the leadership of the chef team with both experience and creativity. Ramon Turmo, the executive chef has worked in luxurious hotels and a Michelin-starred restaurant, Deng Weiwen, the executive Chinese chef has been specializing in Hong Kong-Macao and Guangdong meals for 40 years, Michele Tenzone, the chef of Italian restaurant who's worked in seven Michelin-starred restaurants. All have prepared the wonderful luxury of taste for food connoisseurs.
In the St. Regis Zhuhai, guests may enjoy a joyful lifestyle which they worship at any time and place. Iridium Spa, located on the 68th floor of the hotel, has nine landscape therapy rooms. Each room is equipped with an electric hydraulic massage couch from Living Earth. The St. Regis Fitness Club is located on the 69th floor of the hotel. It is equipped with a fitness facility of an international leading brand. It has an aerobic exercise area, apparatus area and yoga room. The indoor swimming pool is located on the 69th floor and the outdoor swimming pool is located on the 71st floor with a Roman bathhouse design.
