Marriott International Group recently announced that the first Renaissance Hotel in China's northwest region was opened.

The Renaissance Hotel Xi'an held the opening ceremony. As the first Renaissance Hotel in Shaanxi Province, Renaissance Hotel Xi'an will bear the brand spirit by sincerely inviting guests to find the everlasting cultural charm of ancient Xi'an and harvest unexpected and wonderful experience.

"Marriott International Group maintains rapid development in China. We feel very excited about the brand-new milestone of Renaissance Hotel entering Xi'an," said Henry Lee, CEO and managing director of Marriott International in China.

"As one of the four ancient capitals in China, Xi'an boasts unique cultural deposits and attracts tourists worldwide that are curious about Chinese culture. We believe that the Renaissance Hotel Xi'an will provide more diversified choices in the local hotel market. Meanwhile, we encourage guests to discover the scenery and harvest an unexpected and surprising experience," Lee said.

Xi'an, as the location of Terracotta Warriors, dates back to the third century BC. Through its perfect modern city planning, Xi'an has successfully entered the 21st century and transformed into an international metropolis integrating both historical deposits and modern vigor.

The Renaissance Hotel Xi'an continues with the development track of the city, boldly using the earthenware brick in the Qin and Han dynasties (221 BC-220 AD) as a design element, thus endowing the hotel's design with artistic inspiration. It also makes use of this element to create the 3D wall surface of the famous Mount Huashan in China, creating a visual masterpiece that integrates both the traditional and the modern.

The bright custom-made furniture reminds us of the precious ancient silk and brocade. The metal ceiling, made by industrial pipes, projecting tile and baked brick, bring attraction filled with modern industrial aesthetics to the hotel and fully embody Xi'an's charm, which combines the ancient and the modern.

The design idea of the hotel is fully integrated into the 403 spacious and comfortable guest rooms and suites. The ancient washboard and pole ladder are applied to the guest room as the storage shelf, thus increasing taste to the modern facilities.

All the designs aim to bring an unexpected, pleasant feeling and fresh taste to the guests, so as to arouse their curiosity and allow them to discover the unique charm of the long history and abundant cultural deposits shown by the famous historical city Xi'an.

"We feel happy to bring the vigorous Renaissance Hotel to the Qujiang New Area that gathers the profound history and culture of Xi'an," said Du Xia, general manager of the Renaissance Hotel Xi'an.

"Xi'an is a cultural ancient city with a history of more than 3,000 years. It provides a platform that explores a birthplace of Chinese culture through a modern perspective. We hope that the Renaissance Hotel Xi'an will become an ideal place to explore the splendid culture of the famous and historical city of Xi'an," Du said.

The Renaissance Hotel Xi'an is located in the Qujiang New Area that represents the new appearance of Xi'an. It is adjacent to Qujiang International Conference & Exhibition Center and Conference Center. It only takes 40 minutes to get to the Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, and it only takes 30 minutes to get to the Xi'anbei Railway Station by metro, during which the vehicle will pass the downtown center Bell Tower business district.

Guests who wish to explore the local culture and scenery can reach national 5A-level tourist sites such as the Greater Wild Goose Pagoda and Tang Paradise by car within 10 minutes, and it only takes 30 minutes to get to the world-famous Terracotta Warriors by car.

The symbolic "Renaissance Navigator" of the Renaissance Hotel has extensive knowledge on the local customs. Besides the traditional services, individualized tourism selections are also provided for guests that desire to explore the historical and humanistic treasures and abundant cultural relics of this ancient Chinese city.
