Hainan to explore visa-free, visa-upon-arrival policies for cruise tourism

Southern China's Hainan Province is to explore visa-free and arrival visa policies, promoting the transformation and upgrade of its cruise tourism industry.

A symposium was held in Sanya, a coastal city in Hainan Province, with the purpose of tackling the challenges occurred in cruise tourism development.

Representatives from world leading cruise companies such as Genting Group, Royal Caribbean and Costa Crociere attended the event and offered advice on attracting visitors, marketing promotion, port infrastructure construction, services upgrade and opening new routes.

In recent years, cruise industry has gradually evolved into one of the most distinctive, most promising and most competitive emerging industries in Hainan, contributing to the development of high-end tourism in the province.
