COVID-19 cases inch closer to 120,000 in Myanmar

The number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 119,788 in Myanmar on Thursday, after the country reported 919 new cases and 25 more deaths in the past 24 hours, according to a release from the Health and Sports Ministry.

The death toll reached 2,532 as of Thursday.

So far 99,927 recovered patients have been discharged from hospitals.

Over 1.68 million samples have been tested for the disease since the virus was first detected in Myanmar on March 23 this year.
