A television documentary has been aired nationwide to pay tribute to the contribution of a British scholar to the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.

The four-episode documentary revolves around Michael Lindsay, who, after arriving in China in 1937, provided help in China's anti-Japanese war by upgrading radio equipment and building radio stations for the Chinese army. He also risked his life transporting medicines and radio parts to the army's base areas.

The documentary also gives an account of the Communist Party of China's efforts in uniting international friends and fighting Japanese aggression via wireless communication during the war.

Lindsay left China in 1945 following the country's victory in the war and continued to promote the friendship between the two countries back in Britain.
