International experts, including those from the World Health Organization (WHO), arrived in Beijing on Sunday and began meeting with their counterparts in China over the novel coronavirus pneumonia, the WHO said Sunday.
One of the goals of the joint mission is to provide suggestions on the prevention and control of the coronavirus outbreak in China and globally.
The joint expert inspection team will visit Beijing, south China's Guangdong Province and southwest China's Sichuan Province on February 17, an official said at a press conference held by China's Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council on Monday.
"China will continue to work with the international community to jointly tackle the epidemic challenge and safeguard global health security," the official said.
