The "Common Fate, Common Future" China-Hungary cultural exchange event, co-hosted by China Media Group (CMG), the Hungarian Media Service Support and Asset Management Fund, and the Hungarian-China Friendship Association, was held in Budapest, Hungary, on September 26.
CMG president Shen Haixiong said China-Hungary relations have maintained a high level of development in recent years. The documentary "L.E. HUDEC," produced by CMG, reconstructs the architect's life, work and cultural legacy through little-known historical fragments and tells stories of cross-cultural collaboration and creation.
CMG has long been committed to promoting mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of China and Hungary.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China Gong Tao said that the broadcast of the documentary in Hungary is of great significance, reflecting both the achievements of China-Hungary cultural exchanges and the important role of media cooperation in building a bridge for greater understanding and friendship between the two peoples.
Deputy State Secretary, Minister of Culture and Innovation Csaba Gabor noted that Hudec's architectural works have left an extraordinary impact on Shanghai and serve as a key bridge for cultural exchange between Hungary and China. President of the Hungarian-Chinese Friendship Association Nagy Judit said that long-standing cultural exchanges underpin the mission of the Hungary-China Friendship Association to bring peoples closer and strengthen the foundation for diplomatic and economic relations.
At the event, Chen Qing, director of "L.E. HUDEC," shared insights on filming at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. The Hungarian-language version "L.E. HUDEC" aired on Hungary's national television from September 6 to October 4 in prime time. Since its premiere, viewership has steadily grown, with plans for multiple reruns throughout the year.
