The Democratic-led House of Representatives Thursday passed a spending bill that funds new barriers for the U.S.-Mexico border a day before a midnight Friday deadline, avoiding another U.S. government shutdown.
Earlier, the Republican-led Senate backed the bill which passed 83 to 16.
The White House said Trump intends to sign the bill into law.
