A Chinese airline stewardess seeking a handsome passenger that left her smitten saw some big help on social media on Monday when users identified her runway Romeo as professional Go player Lian Xiao.
According to her post on WeChat, the unnamed flight attendant's heart first went aflutter on a flight from Beijing to Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province on September 27.
"I want to get in touch with a passenger who was very shy and even blushed when I talked to him. I felt like falling in love with him," read the unnamed flight attendant's post on WeChat on Monday.
She admitted to being too embarrassed to ask for his contact information at the time, but provided all the information the internet needed to identify Lian - his name and birth date, April 8, 1994.
It didn't take netizens long to connect the dots: Lian is a member of China's national Go team and normally trains in Beijing. He also had a game on September 28 in Zhejiang.
Her missed connection went viral and garnered thousands of comments.
"This stewardess really has good taste. With one look she grabbed the darling of China Qiyuan," wrote "quanshishige."
"She obviously knew who this guy was already. That's some serious technique she's got," wrote "Caihuashushu."
