(ECNS) — The nine-day "Peace and Friendship-2025" joint exercise of China and Malaysia kicked off on Wednesday in Puchong, Malaysia.
An opening ceremony was held to mark the official start of the drill, which would focus on practical training in humanitarian relief and disaster mitigation, maritime security operations, and air force exchanges and discussions.
This joint exercise will provide a platform for the Chinese and Malaysian armed forces to enhance coordination, deepen mutual understanding, and strengthen military cooperation. It demonstrates the two countries' shared commitment to promoting regional peace and security, particularly in responding to humanitarian crises and safeguarding maritime stability.
During the exercise, a variety of activities including naval vessel open days, cultural and sports exchanges, and deck receptions will also be held.
