Chinese and Indian border troops held a third round of talks at the corps commander level on Tuesday, where the two sides made positive progress in taking effective measures to disengage frontline troops and ease the border situation, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said Wednesday.
China hoped the Indian side will meet China halfway, implement the consensus reached by the two sides with concrete actions, maintain close communication through military and diplomatic channels and work together to cool down the border situation, said Zhao.
