Actor Huang Bo has become the first actor from China's mainland to be involved in films grossing over 10 billion yuan ($1.5 billion) combined, reports takefoto.cn.
"Crazy Alien," a new comedy starring Huang Bo, raked in 1.5 billion yuan in Chinese cinemas during the Spring Festival holiday, helping push the actor over the 10 billion yuan benchmark.
Directed by Ning Hao, "Crazy Alien" led the Chinese box office on the first day of the Lunar New Year, ulimately finishing in second spot in ticket sales through the week-long holiday.
Huang Bo has been in nearly 40 films over the past 18 years, six of which have exceeded 1 billion yuan in box office sales.
