Athletes participating in the competitions broke 26 world and Asian records.

This year marks the first time the Asian Weightlifting Championships were held in a county-level city in China. The conclusion of the tournament also signaled a generational shift in the weightlifting world, as the International Weightlifting Federation is set to implement a new weight category system in June 2025.

Since hosting the China-Japan-Korea Weightlifting Invitational for the first time in 2016, Jiangshan has gone on to host seven national weightlifting championships, over 10 international training camps and conferences, attracting nearly 20 Olympic and world champions.
