Chinese Defense Minister meets French counterpart, exchanging views on issues of common concern

(ECNS) -- Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun and French armed forces minister Sebastien Lecornu held a meeting during Dong's visit to France, according to China's Defense Ministry on Tuesday.

They had in-depth exchanges of views on China-France relations, bilateral militaries, the international and regional situation, as well as issues of common concern, reaching a consensus on strengthening practical exchanges and cooperation between the two armed forces, said the Ministry in a statement.

Before the talks, Lecornu held a welcome ceremony for Dong and accompanied him to review the Guard of Honor of the French Army.
