(ECNS) -- A Chinese business delegation visited Brazil from Wednesday to Sunday to promote economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit, Chinese and Brazilian institutions and enterprises signed multiple cooperation agreements, with a total value exceeding 2 billion U.S. dollars.
Brazilian Vice President and Minister of Development, Industry, and Trade Geraldo Alckmin met with the delegation.
Ren Hongbin, chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led the delegation in meetings with Brazilian political and business representatives, visited local enterprises, and attended the China-Brazil Economic and Trade Forum.
China is willing to further deepen economic and trade ties with Brazil, strengthen coordination under multilateral platforms such as the G20 and BRICS, and foster new areas of business cooperation, Ren said. He welcomed Brazilian enterprises and institutions to participate in the third Global Trade and Supply Chain Expo.
The delegation was comprised of representatives from more than 40 Chinese companies in various sectors, including agriculture, food processing, finance, infrastructure, energy, telecommunications, and healthcare.
