‘Made in Russia’ fair to showcase thousands of products in Shenyang

(ECNS) -- The Russian Export Center (REC) is set to host the "Made in Russia" festival and trade fair in Shenyang from Friday to Sunday.

The event will feature over 1,000 premium products from more than 120 manufacturers representing 40 Russian regions. Items on display include food, beverages, cosmetics, souvenirs, and handicrafts. visitors can sample Russian goods at a dedicated tasting area and purchase items directly from producers.

Highlights include a Russian food cooking show, demonstrating dishes made with Russian ingredients and online shipping options through the Russian National Pavilion on Chinese e-commerce platforms. A business zone will facilitate discussions between Russian companies and Chinese partners, fostering opportunities for coopertation and new projects.

Themed “The Nutcracker,” the event will immerse attendees in Russian culture with performances by art troupes from Sakhalin, Primorsky Krai, and Irkutsk. Visitors can also participate in glass painting workshops and enjoy screenings of Russian animated films.

For the first time, Russian game developers and virtual reality technology teams will participate in the expo. A special section dedicated to Russian indie games will allow visitors to experience innovative creations reflecting Russian culture.

A key highlight of the event will be the launch of a new agricultural product promotion point under the Russian National Pavilion network. The Shenyang location, set to open on Sunday, will join promotional site in Shanghai, Harbin, Chengdu, and Shenzhen, marking the fifth such center in China since the network began in 2017.

REC chief executive Veronika Nikishina stated that the "Made in Russia" festival provides a valuable platform for Russian businesses to connect with consumers and partners. The inaugural event in Liaoning Province in January 2024 attracted significant attention, underscoring the strong interest of Chinese consumers in Russian products and culture. Shenyang will again open the exhibition season this year.
